FESTIVAL LAKSA LANGKAWI 2013

YBhg Tan Sri Khalid Ramli, CEO Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) was opening the pre-launch of the Langkawi International Laksa Carnival 2013. Carnival is the second attempt LADA held in Langkawi and it is part of a program that has been planned and organized by the Langkawi Development Corporation (LADA) to promote the uniqueness of Langkawi (Langkawi Natually) inside and outside the country.
Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) will host the Langkawi International Laksa Carnival (LILAC) 2013 which begins on May 31 until June 2, 2013 heldon Laman Padi Langkawi Island. The organization of the second edition of this carnival is the continuation of the LILAC 2012. This carnival is also in line with the Hon. Prime Minister in conjunction with the launch of the Langkawi Tourism Blueprint ago to improve the image of Langkawi Island in particular at the international level as one of the world’s leading island by organizing iconic events.
Langkawi has been transformed into a like a magnet that attracts visitors from home and abroad to stop by here to witness the beauty of Langkawi island, the unique natural treasures and its markings. As the agency responsible for the management of the development of Langkawi in Kedah Darul Aman, Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) has been given responsibility seriously by the government, to ensure that this legendary island is located between the island famous for its beauty and uniqueness in the world.
Therefore, LADA is aware of the progress of the development environment, community, and communication system development. By vanity because then, many activities throughout the year can be held successfully. This agenda can attract  tourists from various countries
Also attending the ceremony were Deputy Chief Executive Mr Rahman Hj Zainol (sector management), Mrs. Rosnina Ya’akub Langkawi Tourism Director, representatives from Tourism Malaysia, Dato ‘Alexander Isaac (CEO Tropical Charters), the media and representatives from advertising agencies in Malaysia.
The carnival welcomes food operators thousand products throughout Malaysia to take part in a variety of exciting activities in Langkawi and indirectly to promote unity and mutual cooperation attitude with entrepreneurs, businessmen, local-lovers and cooking enthusiasts thousand in Malaysia.
The objective of this carnival are:
1. Enhance the number of tourists from within and outside the country to Langkawi through participation and support in organizing the event.
2. Introducing laksa as traditional dishes and able to be placed into an exclusive level.
3.  Highlight Langkawi as  thousand international hub.
4. Generate local economic activity with direct community participation in sales activities during the carnival. While the economy with rising income generation indirectly as will be enjoyed by taxi drivers, hotel, shop or restaurant, and tourism products.
